A Little Introduction

As of right now I'm not sure why I'm starting this blog. I guess there are many different ways I could go about this. Right now, I just want to make this about my life. Now that I graduated from college I have a lot more time on my hands because I'm still job hunting and waiting for that amazing job to come along. With this being said, here is a little introduction to who I am and what I love.

Im currently 22 years young and I am married to an amazing man that is in the military and we have two amazing Cane Corso pups. Being a military wife I have learned to become very independent and find my own hobbies to keep me busy when he is away. Also, like I said above, I just graduated from The University of North Carolina at Pembroke with an Exercise Science Health Promotion Degree.

I love to cook, I could literally do it all day, every day and never get sick of it. I have a lot of intolerances and I am allergic to a lot of foods. These allergies and intolerances have come up in the last  year and a half so I am learning to live with them. Being active and having intolerances makes it hard to eat properly when training hard so it has been a journey.

While living with these gastro problems I am learning to become more and more healthy. This is a constant battle for me so I am always looking for new information and reading different studies that have been done so I can be as knowledgeable as I can about my health and the food I put into my body. Along with reading about whole foods and body functions I am also interested in research being done on different supplements and herbs that can benefit the human body.

Being interested in supplements started when I started my job at the Vitamin Shoppe. Before I knew the basics of supplements but now after being at my job for over a year and a half I have broadened my knowledge so much. With all the knowledge I have gained I want to be able to share that information with others to help them become the best they can be.

Lately I have been working out at golds gym which is a big change for me. For the last 2 1/2 years I have been deeply committed to CrossFit but the last 6 months I have had to change things up because of how busy I have been finishing school. I have learned that CrossFit is not the only way to be fit which is a big thing for me personally to say. I am Level 1 CrossFit Certified along with Olympic Weightlifting Certified which made me that much more committed to CrossFit. Now I am getting my Certified Strength and Conditioning Coach through NSCA which Im really excited about. I have opened my eyes to all the way people can be fit in the last 6 months and I am so glad I did, it all has led me to work on being the fittest I can be in all different ways.

Overall, I am just a girl that loves to cook and is obsessed with fitness and nutrition. I have an amazing life that I want to share. Hopefully through this blog I can share the information I learn to help others. Either help people meet their fitness goals or help people with intolerances. I have had a lot of ups and downs in my fitness journey, my sensitivities to food being one of the big problems, so I want to share how I got through things and now make foods that fit into my weird diet.

I hope everyone enjoys what I have to say and if I can help even one person out I will be one happy girl!!
